York Garden & Flower Show - March 5th, 2006

If you've never been to the York Garden & Flower Show in York, PA you haven't lived! So come alive and order your tickets through Wayne and Yvonne. They are $8/person with groups of 12 or more. UPDATE: ATTENTION SKIERS!

The "Higher Ground" Small Group invites you to an overnight and day of skiing at Blue Knob Ski Resort (near Altoona) on February 21-22. We'll car pool, departing after supper on Tuesday, February 21, stay at a TWC member's mountain retreat home (warm), ski on the 22nd, and return that evening. Bring a co-worker or other friend for some exhilarating Christian fellowship. You do NOT need to be an advanced skier to join this outreach activity. Look for a flier on the Small Groups table. '06 HG Ski Trip: 2/21-22/06

This year we are going to Blue Knob Ski Resort. Plans are to leave Leola Tuesday 7PM and stay overnight near ski resort. Wednesday we will hit the slopes for a great day of skiing. For more information call group leader, Ken via. email at hpi@bigfoot.com.

This one observation point within Middle Creek WMA is quite easy to get to. The trail, both gravel and paved, is approx. 1 mile round trip; it can get crowded when weather conditions are ideal.

 

2005 Trip to See Migratory Snow Geese


Pic from HG 2005 trip to Middle Creek WMA to observe the migratory snow geese. The day of our '05 visit was beautiful. We were told that there were approximately 150,000 snow geese at this site.

 

Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006 Snow Geese Day

Join us Sunday, Feb. 19th, 2006 for an afternoon of snow geese observation at Middle Creek WMA. In addition to migratory snow geese, we hope to see some eagles, herons, Canada Geese, and other wildlife within this wildlife preserve. Middle Creek WMA is located approximately 15 miles north of Lancaster, PA. We plan to leave Leola at 12 NOON. Contact Glenford via. email: glen4Him@gmail.com for more infor.
